Resilience in Action
The past week at Nōmilu has been intense. The fire at the Kauaʻi Sea Farm hatchery was a lot to come back from — physically, emotionally, and logistically. Through it all, one thing has remained clear: this place is resilient, and so is the community that cares for it.
Despite the damage, the corals at the Kauaʻi Coral Restoration Nursery continue to do well. Our team has been working around the clock to stabilize power, water supply, water quality, and temporary aquaria systems to ensure their health and safety. Even in the midst of chaos, the corals are showing us what resilience looks like.
