Community Restoration Day this weekend! **RSVP Required**
Every 2nd Sunday of the month, the community is invited to participate in the active restoration of Nōmilu (Nomilo) Loko Iʻa (fishpond). We've been working to clear the perimeter of the pond of invasive plants, and rebuild/opening up sections of the walls of the two ‘auwai during the past few years. This year we are looking forward to keeping the positive momentum going by finishing the last quarter of clearing the the pond and having the fortunate opportunity to reintroduce native coastal species in place of the spaces we've tackled on clearing thus far. This first workday of the year will be an awesome one to get the momentum rolling All of the work done to protect this special loko i‘a (fishpond), serves to extensively benefit the nearby marine ecosystems.
