🌊 Hanamā‘ulu Beach Cleanup this weekend! 🔄 Join us and our friends at @restorehanamaulu for a morning of community, connection, and coastal care as we clean up Hanamā’ulu Beach this Saturday from 8am-10am! ✨ What to Expect: ✔️ Cleanup materials provided 🧤 ✔️ Water for reusable water bottles 💧 ✔️ Snacks and refreshments 🍉 ✔️ A positive atmosphere to work together and learn from one another! 🙌🏾🙌🏼🙌🏿🙌🏻🙌🏽 Hanamā‘ulu Beach, located on the Windward side of Kauaʻi, is particularly vulnerable to marine debris. As this coastline faces the open Pacific, it’s impacted by debris carried on ocean currents, including trash from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. This makes it all the more important to take the time to care for our beaches and natural areas. 🌱🪸 Marine debris harms marine life, damages ecosystems, and contributes to pollution that affects both our island and our ocean. It takes a village to protect these special places! Anyone can start where they are—just like @mc.jardine and her ‘ohana & hui have done with Restore Hanamā‘ulu. Their grassroots effort shows how love for a place can turn into a movement to keep it healthy and thriving. 🫶🏽 Let’s come together, one piece of trash at a time, and protect the ocean!🌊 Bring your friends, family, and aloha spirit.
