December Community Restoration Day at Nōmilu – Saturday, December 14
Nōmilu Fishpond is one of Kauaʻi’s most storied and sacred places — a volcanic crater formed in the time of Pele, tended by ʻohana for over a century, and now home to a growing movement of cultural restoration, community resilience, and regenerative aquaculture.
As 2025 comes to a close, we invite you to join us for our final community workday of the year at this remarkable wahi pana. Each month, volunteers of all ages have brought new life and energy to the pond, helping reopen its waterways, strengthen its walls, restore native shoreline plants, and support the wider ecosystem that depends on this place.
