We are so grateful to partner up with Kauaʻi Sea Farm, Kauaʻi Ocean Awareness, and Kupaʻa Kauaʻi for our monthly restoration work day of a super special place on Kaua‘i!

The plan for this community restoration day is to help clear and rebuild a big section of one of the pohaku walls in the ‘auwai. This section of Nōmilu fishpond is the most important for the health of single organism inside and outside the makaha. A flowing exchange between a nutrient rich area like the fishpond and nearby coral reef ecosystems creates a spree of life and even an estuary-like environment. Those types of ecosystems are the incubators of all life further out and deep below the ocean. And at the end of the day, its all connected and relevant!
