Ocean Plastic Upcyling

We’re hosting a Community Ocean Plastic Sorting & Upcycling Day on Saturday, August 2nd from 10am–12pm at our Kaumakani HQ and you're invited!

Come lend a hand as we sort collected ocean plastics and give them new life through our upcycling program. This is a great opportunity to learn about our circular economy efforts and be part of a growing movement to keep plastic waste out of our landfills and oceans.

We’re especially excited to now be repurposing ghost nets and other marine debris that were not only saved from harming our marine ecosystems, but now also diverted from the landfill after collection. Help us turn these materials into something useful and lasting!

✅ What You’ll Be Doing:🔹 Sorting, shredding, and washing ocean plastic🔹 Helping to create upcycled products🔹 Learning how to repurpose marine debris into valuable materials

💧 We’ll provide water, refreshments, and snacks. Restrooms are available on-site.
