About the event
Celebrate World Ocean Day with us on June 8th at the Outrigger Kauaʻi Beach Resort! Join hands with local nonprofits, environmental conservation groups, and like-minded organizations for a monumental beach cleanup event at one of Kauaʻi’s neediest shores. From 10 AM to 2PM, dive into a day filled with live music, delicious local food, fun games, and a silent auction—all dedicated to preserving the beauty of our island paradise.
Conservation + Restoration
Since it’s beginning three years ago, Ho’omalu Ke Kai has been consistently practicing good stewardship towards the island’s coastlines through community beach cleanups, ocean plastic upcycling, and Loko i’a restoration projects. Then earlier this year, we were just awarded Kauai’s first coral nursery permit, which will enable us to grow and out-plant native coral species back onto our precious reefs under Kaua'i Coral Restoration Nursery.
